Ontario in Step 3 - Safety is Our Top Priority

The numbers are way down and we want to keep it that way. No one wants a 4th wave! After step #1 most facilities were up & running at Leisure Time, with some restrictions, doing everything we could to keep everyone safe. The only facilities that we were mandated to keep closed were indoor recreation facilities & the outhouses. Entering step #3 everything will now be open, with limitations to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Recreation hall will be open for up to 20 people only during store open hours. As we will be limiting the number permitted in the building we will also be limiting the length of stay to 2 hours be courteous to others. Not all of the recreation hall will be open but you will be able to play darts, foosball, ping pong, bring you own board games or electronic devices. As per government safety restrictions masks must be worn when inside any public building.

Adult lounge will be available to reserve for up to 16 people. Please contact office for details & to reserve a time. As per government safety restrictions masks must be worn when inside any public building. If you are on the back deck you will have to wear a mask if you cannot maintain a social distance from people not of your household.

Outdoor gatherings, the government is now allowing up to 100 people, far more then I think many of our campers would be comfortable with at this point. We will start having outdoor gatherings of a reasonable amount, as long as we can keep things safe, with campers remaining social distanced if they are not from the same household. This will allow more people to enjoy & maybe get those competitive juices flowing playing horseshoes, washer toss, beach volleyball, soccer, ball hockey in the tennis court, basketball, etc. We are also looking for volunteers to assist with planning some of these safe outdoor events. Wouldn’t it sound good to hear BINGO again, it would just have to be outdoors. All going well I hope we will be able to enjoy our special Leisure Time Halloween again this year.

Visitors: We will be increasing the number of visitors permitted to each campsite to 6 people /campsite /day. We will now also be allowing seasonal campers to have overnight visitors. If the visitor stays overnight they are counted as a visitor both days. Everyone who enters Leisure Time must sign required waivers. Please sign these before arriving. These waivers are available on our website or on our mobile CampOn app. Visitors must arrive, register & pay between 9am to 7pm Friday & Saturday and between 9am to 5pm Sunday through Thursday. No entry of visitors will be permitted outside these hours. All day visitors must leave the campground by 11pm. If any visitor or camper gives our staff a hard time in any way they will be asked to leave. If anyone tries to use their gate pass to sneak someone in, both camper & attempted visitor will be asked to leave.

Pool: After discussions with Peel Health we are now increasing the maximum number per session to 15 swimmers. Registered campers will be able to reserve a time, for example 1pm to 1:45pm. The next reservation would be from 2pm to 2:45pm. Appointments & signing of waiver to be completed at camp store on the day of. Same day booking only. An adult must sign the waiver for a child under 18. We reserve the right to limit the number of appointments a person can make per day. Please note due to the limited number of swimmers permitted, visitors are not permitted to sign up for pool sessions Friday, Saturday, Sunday or on holidays. All children 10 & under must be accompanied by an adult (18+). There will be no lying or walking around the pool, as there is not the space to socially distance around the pool. You are asked to shower & use the washroom at your trailer before you come to the pool. When you enter the pool gate you are to rinse off at the shower. There will be arrows on the ground directing you to the right hand entry steps to the pool. No balls or any other toys etc will be allowed in the pool at this time. The only thing allowed to be brought into the pool area would be lifejackets and floatation aids, if required. We cannot supply these items so please bring them with you if required. At the end of the allotted time we ask that you use the exit steps, there will be signage & arrows directing you out of the pool area. Outside the pool area there cannot be a gathering of more than 15 people. If you are not from the same household please maintain a social distance both inside & outside the pool area, as you should be everywhere at this time. We have attached this weekend’s pool hours & a list of the safety measures we have put in place. These are above the normal pool rules, those rules still apply. Both the hours & the safety measures are subject to change without notice.

Tarps covering trailers, or portions thereof, are only to be used as a temporary cover until repairs can be performed. During the camping season a tarp should not remain on a trailer for more than 4 weeks unless special permission is granted. For example if the trailer is being removed at the end of the season & repairs are not being performed special permission may be granted. Please talk to Scott if you have any questions on this.

Friendly Reminders. Leisure Time’s normal rules & regulations remain the same, quiet hour between 11pm & 9am. All campfires must be out by 1am. Please respect your neighbor’s enjoyment of their campsite as you wish to enjoy yours. To protect everyone please remember the speed limit is 10 km/hr. It only takes a split second to change many people’s lives. Please do not dig or build anything until you ask the office first. If you have any questions please contact the office.

Office & Camp Store. For safety we are still restricting access to the Sales Office & Camp Store. You must also wear a mask if you are to enter any Leisure Time building or anytime you cannot maintain the 2 metre social distance anywhere on the property. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Sales Office, & not the Camp Store. As well, please do not stop staff around campground for such. Sales Office is open Monday through Saturday 9am to 5pm, Sunday 11am to 3pm. Camp Store is open Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday 9am to 6pm, Friday & Saturday 9am to 9pm. Camp Store is currently closed Monday & Tuesday, during these days please go to Sales Office. As with everything these days, everything is subject to change without notice.

All rules are subject to change. If we do not feel people are being responsible & safe we will change the rules on the side of safety. SAFETY IS THE TOP PRIORITY!

Thank you for your patience & understanding.
We will get through this together.
